Session Details:
• Theme: "Achieving gender equality, action by action" for the 31st National Session of the Indian Youth Parliament (September 2026).
Gender equality is not merely a goal but a fundamental human right and a prerequisite for a developed nation. The theme "Achieving gender equality, action by action" emphasizes that real change is the result of consistent, incremental steps rather than just grand slogans. In 2026, as India marches toward its vision of "Viksit Bharat" by 2047, this theme calls for a shift from policy to practice. "Action by Action" means:
• Legislative Action: Implementing and monitoring laws like the Women's Reservation Bill to ensure political representation.
• Socio-Economic Action: Closing the digital divide & ensuring equal pay for equal work.
• Cultural Action: Challenging daily stereotypes & promoting shared responsibility within households.
• Educational Action: Ensuring every girl has access to the skills needed for the future.
By focusing on small, measurable actions, we can dismantle deep-rooted patriarchal structures and build a society where opportunities are not dictated by gender.
• Schedule:
o Day 1 (15 Sept): International/Global Issues & Inaugural Address.
o Day 2 (16 Sept): National Issues & Folk Culture Presentation.
